West Bengal authorities have been directed to complete processes and start mining at the Deucha-Pachami coal block within three months. Overburden removal on 12 acres will commence, expanding to 326 acres. Advanced technology is sought for extracting coal beneath thick basalt layers. Preparations are underway following Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's dissatisfaction with project delays.
