For the past three months, “fear” was ruling the street. And with good reasons: From FII selling, to major global events like the US election, to readjustment in the global currency market in anticipation of tariff wars. The currency move led to a situation where, globally, selling happened in emerging markets’ equity, with the money going back to the US. Also, it is the last quarter of the calendar year that sees most redemption requests. Now, with all these events behind us, coupled with some moderation in valuation, it is probably time to shed fear and skepticism. But with one condition: Be cautious in terms of the quality of stocks you are buying. Also, have at least a medium-term perspective.
