In the recent Lok Sabha polls, 64.64 crore voters participated, with women showing a higher turnout of 65.78 per cent compared to 65.55 per cent for men, as per the Election Commission. This election saw 800 women candidates, an increase from 726 in 2019, amidst allegations of fudging voter turnout figures.
