Jammu and Kashmir's first legislative assembly polls as a Union Territory resulted in the election of 51 first-time MLAs out of 90 members. National Conference leads with 42 seats, including 24 debutants. BJP follows with 29 seats, having 15 newcomers. Congress, PDP, AAP, and Independents also have several first-time representatives.
