Jammu and Kashmir are set to get their first government since the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019. The NC-Congress alliance has a clear majority according to the Election Commission of India. Voter turnout was over 60%. The BJP is trailing and major political parties have promised the reinstation of statehood to the region.
