As the Mandalam-Makaravilakku pilgrimage season approaches in Sabarimala, the Kerala government announced that online booking will be required for pilgrims this year, allowing a maximum of 80,000 visitors daily to the Lord Ayyappa shrine. During the virtual queue booking, pilgrims can also select their travel routes.
