Security forces and terrorists exchanged fire in Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir. The joint operation by the Indian Army and J&K Police began after receiving intelligence about an infiltration attempt. The operation is ongoing. Additionally, gunfights were also reported in Kishtwar and Rajouri districts following specific intelligence reports of terrorist presence.
