Indian Air Force Chief Amar Preet Singh emphasized that China has been rapidly developing infrastructure along the Line of Actual Control (LAC), especially in the Ladakh sector. In response, India is also quickly upgrading its facilities in the region. During a press conference ahead of Air Force Day, Singh stressed the need for India to advance technologically and ramp up domestic production of weapons. He also highlighted the importance of indigenous capabilities to tackle future conflicts and discussed the ongoing disengagement efforts along the LAC.
