The government has launched an internship programme offering Rs 60,000 per year to one crore youth over five years. The scheme, starting on December 2, will provide insurance coverage and Rs 5,000 monthly assistance. Companies can voluntarily participate, with internships lasting 12 months. Registration opens in mid-October on an online portal.
