While it is largely due to global reasons, the volatility quotient of both Nifty and broader markets has seen a spike in the last four weeks. There is high a probability that as more macroeconomic data emerges from the US and any action is taken by the US Fed, we might see more volatility, which might have a spillover effect on the Indian market. While volatility is something which is part of the market, one should be more ready for it especially when valuations are high. Even when looking at large cap space, be more selective.
