The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has apprehended Aziz Ahamed at Bengaluru airport in connection with a plan to radicalise youths and establish an Islamic caliphate in India. Ahmed is accused of conducting secret sessions to spread extremist ideologies. The arrest comes as part of an ongoing case against six individuals influenced by Hizb-ut-Tahrir, a fundamentalist organization.
