The CBI has launched an investigation into a scheme in Rajasthan where Aadhaar cards were being produced using fake documents and fingerprints for a fee of Rs 25,000. Children's biometric data has also been misused. The case came to light after a programmer raised concerns. It has promptied the ministry to request a CBI inquiry, ultimately resulting in an FIR against three suspects.
