The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has extended the ban on the terrorist outfit Sikhs For Justice (SFJ) for an additional five years, effective from July 10, 2024. SFJ, led by its chief patron Gurupatwant Singh Pannun based in the US, has been accused of supporting Khalistani groups in India and elsewhere. The ban, issued under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, cites SFJ's involvement in activities aimed at disrupting India's sovereignty and territorial integrity, posing threats to internal security and public order.
