The Tamil Nadu assembly passed a resolution against the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test, urging the Union government to scrap it. The resolution called for state governments to allow medical admissions based on class 12 marks, as before NEET was introduced. The resolution also urged the Union government to approve a 2022 bill seeking exemption from NEET for state students.
