BSP president Mayawati criticised the BJP and Congress governments, accusing them of making the Constitution casteist, communal, and capitalistic through various amendments. She stated that they have strayed from the egalitarian and secular principles of Dr BR Ambedkar, and failed to implement the Mandal Commission report for OBC reservation benefits. She deemed their actions as inappropriate political manipulation of the Constitution.
