On Saturday, the BJP asserted that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's statement suggesting the prime minister's preference for Amit Shah as his successor is an acknowledgment of the party's anticipated retention of power for a third consecutive term. In response to Kejriwal's sharp criticism of the BJP, BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi launched a counter-attack, quipping that Kejriwal discusses his party's succession strategy but lacks faith in any of his AAP colleagues to succeed him, even after facing imprisonment on money laundering charges.
