Godrej Properties and Sobha have emerged as the highest bidders for three prime land parcels in an auction conducted by the Greater Noida Authority. The authority initially auctioned five land parcels valued at Rs 738 crore but concluded the sale at Rs 1,500 crore. Godrej Properties secured two plots, one measuring 38,771 sq meters for Rs 400 crore and another 32,350 sq meters for Rs 442 crore. Sobha won a 13,938 sq meter plot for Rs 161 crore. The remaining parcels were won by Prasu Infrabuild and Ashtech Industries.
Consumers purchased almost 75 lakh units of air-conditioners this summer in the four-month period between March to June, as per latest numbers from market researcher GfK India. Industry executives said this is more than the total number of units sold in the entire calendar 2022, over three-fourth of last year’s total sales and double of 2023 summer.
