Pretty great comments here
Duke fans saw Zion Williamson up close and personal in Cameron and it’s safe to say he stunned most of us.
He’s had some injuries in the NBA to be sure, but he has nonetheless dazzled fans and the media.
What you hear less of is how he has dazzled his opponents.
On Podcast P, Paul George’s podcast, he is joined by former Virginia star Trey Murphy, currently a New Orleans Pelican like Williamson, and they talk a lot about Williamson.
George, who recently left the L.A. Clippers to sign with the Philadelphia 76ers as a free agent, flatly says that L.A. simply could not defend Williamson and had no plan for him at all.
Murphy talks about how freakish it is to play with a guy who weighs over 280 and nonetheless dominates everyone in the gym.
Interesting trivia: Williamson was wearing a pair of Paul George’s Nikes when he had his notorious shoe blow out against UNC. One of the other guys on the podcast suggests that it was good publicity, a thought that George quickly shoots down, saying that no, it was anything but good.
