Akkodis ASP Team have confirmed their programme with Lexus, seeking. two-car entry into the FIA WEC in 2024, the team’s 25th anniversary season.
That quarter century has seen Jerome Policand’s team claim more than fifty championship titles (at national and international levels).
They now intend to take up a new challenge, the FIA World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC).
The team will enter in the LMGT3 category, in the LEXUS RC F GT3 with a two-car entry set to be sought.
(subject to the decision of the ACO/WEC selection process next month).
The crews will be announced in a few weeks.
Lexus then become just the fourth brand that the team has worked with over the last 25 years (Renault, Porsche, Ferrari and Mercedes).
The team are on-site today and tomorrow at Portimao (Above) with a single car as part of a major Goodyear LMGT3 test with full support from both Toyota Gazoo Racing Europe and TRD.
Jack Hawksworth and Jose Maria Lopez are confirmed as the drivers for the test.
