A new Earl of Sandwich rooftop bar at Downtown Disney will pay tribute to the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix and other 1960s rock bands when the nomadic restaurant finally gets a permanent home at the outdoor mall next to Disneyland.
The ground floor of the two-story location will feature a traditional Earl of Sandwich fast casual restaurant with a new light and airy look that will be familiar to Downtown Disney customers.
Earl’s new indoor-outdoor rooftop bar on the second story will be called Carnaby Tavern. The table service restaurant will pay homage to swinging 1960s British Invasion pop and rock bands from the United Kingdom.

The new two-story Earl of Sandwich location will be built near the Downtown Disney performance lawn.
The fan-favorite Earl of Sandwich shop has bounced around Downtown Disney over the past few years.
The temporary Earl of Sandwich restaurant on the east end of Downtown Disney in the former La Brea Bakery location will close in 2025 to make way for construction of a new Porto’s Bakery.

In the meantime, the east end Earl’s and the pop-up trailer on the west end of Downtown Disney across from the former ESPN Zone will both continue to serve sandwiches, wraps, salads and desserts.
The original Earl of Sandwich restaurant was torn down in 2022 along with the AMC Theatre, Starbucks West and Sugarboo and Co. as part of the renovation of the west end of Downtown Disney.
