A man was shot and wounded Tuesday morning, Aug. 20, at a Northridge gas station in Northridge while at the pumps.
Officers were sent to the 19300 block of Parthenia Street at 6:20 a.m. The wounded man was taken to a hospital in unknown condition, Los Angeles police said.
The suspect was described as a male about 5-feet-8 to 5-feet-10 with a heavy build who wore a gray hooded sweatshirt and carried a black handgun, police said.
The victim was pumping gas when the suspect opened fire on him, wounding him in the head.
The motive for the shooting was not clear.
