4 homes along Capri Court were evacuated around 1:30 p.m.
A few homes along a residential block in Castaic were temporarily evacuated on Sunday, June 30, after a brush fire grew to more than 20 acres in the early afternoon.
The blaze broke out around 12:40 p.m. near Capri Court and Barcelona Road, near Castaic Middle School, burning about an acre and growing to 22 acres in about an hour, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The fire was contained around 4 p.m., and crews remained on scene to continue mop up hotspots.
Four homes along Capri were evacuated around 1:30 p.m.; residents were allowed to return later in the afternoon, authorities said.
There were no reports of injuries or damaged structures. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
