Where do you live?
My house in Nicosia with my wife
What did you have for breakfast?
Coffee and a toast, nothing too fancy.
Describe your perfect day
Late wakeup, no plans, sunny and warm – no excess heat – spend the day at the beach paddle boarding and chillin’ till sundown or later.
Best book ever read?
On the Road by Jack Kerouac. It’s all about freedom, self-discovery and living in the moment. As a musician, I relate to the idea of going on a journey without knowing exactly where you’ll end up, just enjoying the ride and the experiences along the way.
Best childhood memory?
Too many to mention here. I guess everything I can remember before 1974.
What is always in your fridge?
Cheese and turkey for a quick toast, milk and of course beer.
What music are you listening to in the car at the moment?
Mostly heavy rock and metal but also various radio stations as being a DJ too I need to always keep up to date with new music.
What’s your spirit animal?
Probably a cat, lazy but independent, intuitive, adaptive and curious. I’m naturally curious, always exploring and seeking new experiences. Curiosity keeps me open-minded and embracing life’s unknowns, encouraging me to learn and grow through exploration.
What are you most proud of?
Being chosen to be the bass player of Katsimicha brothers, which took me to Greece for seven years, performing in the now iconic Stavros tou Notou venue at its beginning.
Starting a band with a friend which led to changing the whole live music scene in Cyprus in many ways, even helping create landmark venues, and taking the band all the way to Eurovision.
(And then) founding Fuse almost from zero to where we are now.
It’s been a long journey that I’m really proud of.
What movie scene has really stayed with you?
The ending of Easy Rider, when the two bikers are shot on the highway, because sudden, unprovoked violence in a peaceful setting is shocking and it feels like a brutal commentary on intolerance and hostility towards those who live outside societal norms.
If you could pick anyone at all (alive or dead) to go out for the evening with, who would it be?
My mom and my dad. So many things I didn’t manage to tell them in time and so many they’ve missed about me through my life since they are gone.
If you could time travel when/where would you go?
It depends if I could change things, I guess. If not, then probably late 70s – early 80s LA, to live the birth and explosion of heavy rock there possibly auditioning for an up-and-coming band, instead of hearing all about the scene from here.
What is your greatest fear?
Losing people I love.
What would you say to your 18-year-old self?
Buy Apple and Google stock!
Name the one thing that would stop you dating someone
Dishonesty. Fanaticism (ok that’s two)
If the world is ending in 24 hours, what would you do?
Take a last bike ride and then spend time with my closest friends and family, reflecting on all the great moments we’ve shared with favourite music in the background.
