The United Kingdom and Cyprus will hold talks in London next month aimed at drawing up a bilateral defence cooperation agreement, the British High Commission in Nicosia said on Thursday.
The statement said while on a visit to Cyprus this week, British Defence Secretary John Healey held discussions with his Cypriot counterpart Vasilis Palmas. The two discussed the “common vision for further defence cooperation”.
In this context, the statement added, talks will take place in London in November, with a view to signing a bilateral defence cooperation agreement.
During his visit here, Healey also met with the head of the National Guard, Lieutenant General Georgios Tsitsikostas.
