Former Turkish Cypriot leader Mustafa Akinci has been discharged from hospital after his admission over the weekend.
In a post on Facebook, Akinci said he had felt dizzy, faint and threw up on Saturday. He was transferred to Famagusta hospital in the north, where doctors found he had a transient ischemic attack and kept in him for observation.
He underwent an MRI, an echocardiogram and scintigraphy. No negative findings were detected, he said.
Akinci thanked the hospital staff and all those who enquired for his health, assuring he has been discharged and well in health.
Marking World Peace Day on September 1, he wished for peace and a healthy future to the island and humankind.
