A medical association on Monday said it was preparing ‘necessary legal action’ against the Health Insurance Organisation amid a spat between the two.
The diagnostics association (Pasydike) stressed it was preparing dynamic measures ahead of a response to the HIO on July 10.
Central to the issue is a letter the association said it received from the HIO informing its members that as of January 1, 2025 a new wave a changes will meet the industry that will effectively mean numerous diagnostic centres will shut down.
The association held an AGM on Sunday and agreed to respond with measures which will be announced in the next few days.
Additionally, the association will send a letter to all of HIO’s board members outlining the consequences of the latest decision.
The legal team of the association has also begun to take the ‘necessary legal measures’ against HIO, its management and board.
