CURLSASK is excited to welcome Shannon Laventure to our 2024-2025 Board of Directors!
Shannon lives on a farm north of Spiritwood, SK, and works full-time as a public health nurse for SHA. She has been actively involved in sports, both as a participant and as a coach for her children’s teams, including badminton, softball, alpine skiing, and curling.
Growing up in Leoville, Shannon’s family was deeply involved in the local curling club, and she started curling at the age of six. She continues to curl and volunteers on several local committees.
Shannon has four children. Her eldest daughter graduated with an Ag Business degree in 2023 and is joining the family farm. Her second daughter will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2025. Her son represented Saskatchewan at the 2023 Canada Games, and her youngest daughter curls in the U18 category.
We are excited to welcome Shannon to the CURSLASK Board of Directors. With her extensive background in sports, particularly curling, and her commitment to community involvement, Shannon brings valuable experience and enthusiasm to our team. Her dedication to sport and volunteerism will be a tremendous asset to CURLSASK. Welcome aboard, Shannon!
