As India’s star batter Virat Kohli completed his 16 years in international cricket, former Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik congratulated hi for this achievement.
“Happy to have played with you Skipper (Salute emoji) 16 years and the fire still burns bright (fire emoji),” Karthik wrote on his X account with a photo of the two in India’s T20I jersey.

Kohli made his ODI debut with opening the innings along with Gautam Gambhir. Though Gambhir was out for a duck, Kohli scored 12 runs off 22 balls in the match. India was bowled out for 146 in that match.
In T20Is, his debut was in the match against Zimbabwe and scored 265 runs off 21 balls. India won that match by six wickets.
In Test cricket, he made his debut in a match against West Indies in 2011, where he batted in middle order and scored 4 and 15 runs. India won the game by 63 runs.
