Talk about Rishabh Pant’s comeback was very popular before to the IPL 2024 season. The amazing rehabilitation program of the wicketkeeper batter was detailed by the coaches and physiotherapists at the National Cricket Academy (NCA).
Fourteen months after his horrific car accident, Pant is set to return to the Indian Premier League with the Delhi Capitals. The experts at NCA have complimented Pant on his commitment to his recuperation in Bengaluru. at a video that the BCCI released, NCA physiotherapist Thulasi Yuvraj recalled how uncomfortable Pant was at the beginning.
I knew the patient was in terrible pain as soon as a ward boy tried to push the stretcher toward the room and it made a tiny contact with the path.
“He started shouting so loudly.”
He sobbed right away, even though the jerk was just insignificant. Then I realized—oh, something significant has occurred,” Yuvraj remarked.
Yuvraj said that Pant’s tenacity would subsequently serve as the foundation for the effort made by the NCA employees.
“Doctors thought he might need two years.”
We gave the rehabilitation process our all because of his inner strength and confidence. The physicians estimated that he would require up to two years. It was as though he was going through a progressive phase after joining NCA.
Dhananjay Kaushik, an NCA physiotherapist, praised Pant for his attention to diet during his recovery, saying he had “checked all the boxes.”
Rishabh should take pride in his diet if anyone deserves it.
Overall, this individual has put in a lot of work between when we started the treatment and where he is today.
“He ticked all the boxes of recovery in a very fine manner, whether it’s nutrition, his own recovery, or his sleeping pattern,” Kaushik continued.
In the meantime, Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala, the director of sports medicine at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital, was grateful for NCA and Pant’s collaborative work. “The NCA has been working out with a physiotherapist virtually every day for the past year, ensuring that he is pushed to the limit but not beyond…ensuring that the tenacity and energy were present every single day.
That has all had a significant impact.
“Thus, I believe that his motivation and the entire team’s experience with cricket rehabilitation have helped him return to his cricket aspect much earlier than expected, which is why we see why he has returned so quickly, six months ahead of schedule,” Pardiwala continued.
