Sunrisers Hyderabad are No 1 on the IPL leaderboard following their five-wicket win.
A hat-trick of wins has put last season’s runners-up Sunrisers Hyderabad at the top of the 2019 IPL leaderboard.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar chose to field at the Feroz Shah Kotla and the decision was backed by him and his bowlers; Bhuvneshwar, Siddarth Kaul and Mohammad Nabi each took two wickets to help keep hosts Delhi Capitals to 129/8 in 20 overs.
Chasing 130, Hyderabad lost David Warner cheaply for the first time in four games but Jonny Bairstow (48 off 28 balls) set up the chase. Nabi’s unbeaten 17 off nine balls finished the match in the 19th over.
This is Delhi’s third loss in five matches.
