India’s biggest chess tournament Tata Steel Chess India returns as the best players collide from November 13th to November 17th, 2024 at the Dhonyo Dhanyo Auditorium. Among the participants will be most of the top local players as well as 2700 club Grandmasters from abroad.
About Tata Steel Chess India
The Tata Steel Chess India tournament is an event that highlights the blend of chess excellence with corporate support, reflecting a broader trend where companies sponsor prestigious sports events for promotional and community engagement purposes. While not as historically deep as its Dutch counterpart, the Tata Steel Chess Tournament in Wijk aan Zee, the Tata Steel Chess India has quickly carved out its niche. It’s recognized for attracting top-tier players, especially with its rapid and blitz formats which appeal to a faster-paced, modern audience.
