Oliver Glasner will hope that he can begin the 2024/25 Premier League season with Crystal Palace as he ended their previous campaign.
The Eagles really were flying high with superb victories over the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United, Newcastle United, West Ham United and others.
A high press and a front foot style was evidently manna from heaven for Glasner’s group of players, as they attacked every game with verve and vigour.
After losing Michael Olise to Bayern Munich, and with potential losses of Eberechi Eze and Marc Guehi to contend with, one could forgive Eagles fans for being a little downhearted.

Although Galatasaray’s demand for approximately £6m/£7m as a loan fee are affecting the transfer process for Wilfred Zaha, sources indicate that the Turkish giants are open to selling the winger back to Palace permanently for a fee in the region of £20m – and the South Londoners aren’t averse to the latter scenario.
Indeed, CaughtOffside sources understand that Palace are willing to pay the permanent transfer fee though they will have to be on their toes.
Leicester City, Everton, Al-Nassr and Napoli have all expressed an interest in Zaha’s services too.
Zaha is fondly remembered as an important player in the Palace’s history, and the chance to reunite him with some of his former Selhurst Park team-mates may be too tempting for the 31-year-old to resist.
As the clock continues to tick in the current transfer window, and with the start of the league campaign just over a week away, the quicker any deal can be signed and sealed, the better for all concerned.
