Water polo has taken the Paris Olympics by storm, thanks in no small part to some excitement surrounding the US women's team, who are vying for their fourth consecutive gold medal this year. Below, we've outlined everything you need to know when it comes to where to watch Olympic water polo, whether you're hoping to watch the men's or women's quarterfinal matches.
The US women's national team has found a new hype man and official sponsor in rapper and Olympics enthusiast Flavor Flav, who has signed a sponsorship deal with the USA Water Polo teams. His interest peaked after learning that many of the women's team members were hustling at multiple other jobs to make ends meet while practicing, according to an interview he gave to NBC Olympics. The team has gained traction online, and First Lady Jill Biden even attended one of the preliminary round matches in Paris.
The team has advanced to the quarterfinals, where they'll face off against Hungary on Tuesday. Notably, Spain and the Netherlands have advanced to the women's semi-final round. The US men's team has also advanced to the quarterfinals and will compete against Australia on Wednesday.
