Anupamaa is one of the most popular shows on the television screens that has managed to win hearts with its storyline and plot. The show has recently witnessed a generation leap and new actors have been roped in to play lead roles. Now, Rupali Ganguly starrer show Anupamaa is in the news after the death of a camera attendant took place due to electrocution. The All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has now written a letter to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde and the entire association has claimed that the cameraperson's death is an 'institutionalized murder'. They have also demanded Rs 1 crore compensation for the victim's family.
Moreover, in the letter the founder and the President of AICAW, Suresh Shamlal Gupta said that though the cameraperson died on sets, the makers continued with the shooting of the show until midnight. He even accused the makers of negligence and asked the CM to take action. The letter read, 'Even worse, the production resumed shooting the very next day, blatantly ignoring the gravity of the situation. The hazardous conditions on sets, perpetuated by the use of old, damaged, and poorly insulated electric wires patched with plastic tape, created a death trap for workers. This systemic disregard for basic safety protocols has led to yet another preventable loss of life'.
