India lost a big gem today. Businessman Ratan Tata passed away on Wednesday night. He passed away at the age of 86. He was hospitalised just two days before his demise. He had been undergoing treatment for prolonged illness at Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital. This news came as a big shock for fans. People could not believe this and some how wanted this news to be wrong. Many big celebrities, politicians have expressed their shock. People are extremely sad that a kind and beautiful human being like Ratan Tata is no more.
Now, Dr. Subhash Chandra, the chairman of the Essel Group who founded Zee TV has expressed his grief. He spoke to Zee News and said that he is a part of the media and not many know that he used to go to Ratan Tata whenever he needed some advice and even Ratan Tata used to speak to him.
He also shared that Ratan Tata used to keep his views clearly and if he likes something he would say it and even if he doesn't like it he would say that also. Subhash Chandra also revealed that Ratan Tata used to shout also if he didn't like something. He said that Ratan Tata was a true friend and only a true friend can shout at you when you are wrong.
He also made an announcement that Zee Group has planned that they will make a full length film on Ratan Tata's life which will stream on Zee 5 and all the other channels of Zee with different languages. They want to show the world the life of a gem like Ratan Tata.
Talking about Ratan Tata's demise, the funeral was held today and was given a state funeral by the Maharashtra government and since he was a Parsi the rituals took place according to that religion. The body was kept at the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA) in Mumbai for the people to pay their respects before the final rites take place.
