Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya got divorced in 2021. Often, the duo mentioned it was a mutual decision. However, speculations about their separation don't seem to die even after 3 years. Recently, politician Konda Sureka claimed that BRS president KT Rama Rao, aka KTR, caused the split between the couple. Surekha stated that KTR's interference in the Akkineni family led to this disturbance and separation of the star couple.
It seems like Samantha Ruth Prabhu is quite miffed with these allegations. The actress, who usually doesn't discuss her private life in public, has reacted to these claims. Samantha has slammed these claims made by Konda Surekha, blaming KTR for her divorce with Naga Chaitanya. On her Instagram page, Samantha wrote, "To be a woman, to come out and work, to survive in a glamorous industry where women are more often than not treated as props, to fall in love & to fall out of love, to still stand up and fight It takes a lot of courage and strength.
Further in her post, the Baby star mentioned Konda Surekha and wrote, "onda Surekha Garu, I am proud of what this journey turned me into please don't trivialise it. I hope you realise that your words carry significant weight as a minister. I implore you to be responsible and respectful of individuals' privacy." The actress further mentioned that her divorce is a personal matter and requested Surekha to not speculate anything about it.
"Our choice to keep things private doesn't invite misrepresentation. To clarify: my divorce was mutual consent and amicable, with no political conspiracy involved. Could you please keep my name out of political battles? I have always remained non-political and wish to continue doing so," The Family Man Season 2 star wrote.
Meanwhile, Naga Chaitanya has moved on in his life. The Laal Singh Chaddha star recently got engaged to Sobhita Dhulipala. The wedding is expected to happen next year. On the work front, Samantha will be next seen in Citadel: Honey Bunny. The actress stars alongside Varun Dhawan in the Prime Video thriller series.
