As per the latest new break, actor-turned-politician Govinda is shot in leg with a revolver and is undergoing treatment in a Mumbai hospital. If the reports in a news agency are to be believed, he got accidentally shot by his own revolver on Tuesday morning. A senior Mumbai Police Officer is said to have confirmed the news to ANI.

As per a report in Firstpost, Govinda has a licensed gun and he was checking the same before leaving for an appointment. The incident is said to have taken place at around 4.45 am. The bullet is said to have hurt his knee and he was taken to CRITICare Hospital in Mumbai. As per the report, the weapon has now been seized by the police for further investigation in this matter. Reportedly, his wife Sunita Ahuja is not in the city, however, she is rushing back to Mumbai.
Govinda's family members are yet to give an update over the incident or his health. The actor recently ventured into politics again and joined the political party Shiv Sena.
The ace actor has some of the most profitable and iconic films in his filmography like Coolie No 1, Hero No 1, Dulara, Saajan Chale Sasural, Haseena Maan Jaayegi, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Partner and many more. He tried to make a comeback in films as a lead hero, however, could not be successful. His last movie released in 2019 titled Rangeela Raja. He was seen in a dual role.
