Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut who will be seen in her upcoming film Emergecy recently left everyone shocked with her statement about Ranbir Kapoor. Kangana targeted Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt when she launched a campaign against nepotism in Bollywood and grabbed a lot of eyeballs with her move. She criticised Ranbir's Animla film. She recently revealed that she turned down a role in the film Sanju, wherein he played actor Sanjay Dutt. The film was directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the film became a major hit and also starred Anushka Sharma, Dia Mirza, and Sonam Kapoor.
Kangana Ranaut did not reveal which role she was approached for in Sanju but said that Ranbir himself asked her to be a part of the movie. In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Kangana said that he had rejected several films offers from the biggest stars including Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor and more. She said that it has not affected their professional equation and said that Ranbir himself came to her house and said, 'Sanju mein role kar le please'. I didn't do it, but that doesn't mean'.
In a recent interview with Raj Shamani, Kangana said that she turned down films starring all three Khans as she does not believe they would have good roles for women. She said that deals worth Rs 10-15 crores because they endorse fairness creams and called it racist. She also said that even before she was successful, she had turned down films with the Khans and called them kind and nice to her.
On the work front, Kangana recently launched the trailer for her upcoming movie Emergency and fans are excited for the same. She portrays Indira Gandhi in the political drama. Ranaut herself has directed the film, which also stars Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, and Mahima Chaudhry. The film is set to hit theatres on September 6, 2024.
