In Devdas and Kal Ho Naa Ho, Shah Rukh Khan has given incredible performances. We cannot imagine anyone else playing Devdas in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali film. In KHNH, Aman has become everyone's angel, and his death breaks all our hearts. While SRK himself found the Bhansali movie interesting, he wasn't a big fan of KHNH. Director Nikkhil Advani has shared what the superstar's reaction was.
In an interview with Galatta Plus, Nikkhil Advani stated that when they were working on either Kuch Kuch Hota Hai or Mohabbatein, Shah Rukh Khan was shooting for Hey Ram. Nikkhil Advani mentioned that Shah Rukh has a habit of coming to a meeting where he says that the film he is making with you is rubbish and that you should be seeing the other film. During the making of Kal Ho Naa Ho, Shah Rukh said Devdas is fantastic and Kal Ho Naa Ho is rubbish. Nikkhil noted that Shah Rukh has that habit.
Kal Ho Naa Ho also stars Saif Ali Khan, Preity Zinta, Jaya Bachchan, Sonali Bendre, and others. Produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, the film was released in 2003. Sanjay Leela Bhansali helmed Devdas, which stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, and Jackie Shroff.
Meanwhile, Nikkhil Advani is currently busy with his new web series, Freedom at Midnight. Based on Larry Collins and Dominique Lapierre's book of the same name, the web series stars Sidhant Gupta, Rajendra Chawla, Chirag Vohra, Arif Zakaria, and Ira Dubey. The web series will soon be available to stream on SonyLIV.
Shah Rukh Khan, on the other hand, last appeared in Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki. The actor will soon start shooting for Sujoy Ghosh's The King, which also stars Suhana Khan and Abhishek Bachchan. SRK will then get into action mode with YRF's Pathaan 2.
