Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal left everyone surprised when they got married. While everyone knew they were dating, their marriage news came as a surprise. They got married on June 23 and they had a simple yet a beautiful ceremony at Sonakshi's residence in Mumbai. They signed their marriage certificate in front of their parents and close friends. Later, they had a grand wedding reception in Mumbai where their friends from the industry came to shower love on the couple. However, not many know that this beautiful love story started at Salman Khan's house.

Zaheer and Sonakshi met at Salman Khan's house first?

Salman Khan launched Sonakshi Sinha with Dabangg and he also launched Zaheer Iqbal with Notebook. Hence, Salman has been their common friend and in a recent interview with Bombay Times, Zaheer said that he and Sonakshi used to attend Salman's parties at his residence since 2013 but they never spoke earlier.

However, one day he was hanging out with his and Salman's friends at Galaxy Apartments. That was the first time Zaheer and Sonakshi spoke. The couple had a long conversation on June 23, 2017 and hence they choose this date as their wedding day.

He further said that during the screening of Tubelight they met again and at the after party, they spoke a lot. They spoke for around five hours and suddenly realised that everyone else has left. That was the time when they knew that something is special between them.

He also spoke about why they decided to have a simple wedding. Zaheer shared that they wanted to be relaxed and enjoy their wedding as much as their guests.

Well, looks like Salman Khan is the reason why we have Sonakshi and Zaheer together now. Sonakshi and Zaheer's wedding pictures were too beautiful. They both were dressed in white outfits for their special day. Sharing some dreamy pictures, they wrote, "On this very day, seven years back (23.06.2017) in each others eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it. Today that love has guided us through all the challenges and triumphs leading up to this moment where with the blessings of both our families and both our gods we are now man and wife. Here's to love, hope and all things beautiful with each other, from now until forever Sonakshi Zaheer 23.06.2024"
