Ignatius “Iggy” Ang of Balestier (front) tried to get past his marker |
I am not sure how these ongoing friendlies are going to help the new national coach Tsutomu Ogura to have a better understanding of the players available at his disposal in his preparation for the upcoming WCQ match against China when clubs are trying out some raw youngsters during these matches as well?

I made a big mistake by being stubborn in my settings and took it for granted that I could fix some of the problems through editing those shots took at night at Kallang Football Hub :(

- Friendly - Lion City Sailors 1-2 JDT 040424
|
Despite their small numbers, the BOS made their presence felt at Bishan |
Was told the JDT started for this fixture wasn't their strongest with a number of key players not in action, I was surprised to see veteran Safiq Rahim turning out for JDT whom I thought retired.

- SGPL - Balestier Khalsa 2-2 Geylang International 100524
|
Both teams fought hard till the end of the night at Bishan |
The only question in my mind is if Balestier is deploying its GK as the extra sweeper effectively?
It was a gallant fightback to level the game for the Tigers.

The LCS players watching the referee checking the VAR footage |
Despite the defeat, I would have to say this season's Young Lions looked different, as compared to the previous groups of whipping boys who played under the same name.
I didn't find myself almost dozed off during a Young Lions match after a while.
Scorers: Maxime Lestienne 19’, Shawal Anuar 24’, Bart Ramselaar 57’ | Farhan Zulkifli 65’
