BUFFALO, New York: Hormoz Mansouri, a businessman from western New York, has pleaded guilty to federal bank fraud and conspiracy to commit fraud, admitting to his role in a multimillion-dollar pandemic loan scheme.
The 70-year-old, who once ran for the Democratic nomination for Erie County comptroller, made his plea in court late last week.
