ANTANANARIVO, Feb. 23 (Xinhua) -- The Madagascar Poverty Assessment, released Thursday by the World Bank, reveals that 75.2 percent of the population in Madagascar lived below the national poverty line in 2022, compared to 72.9 percent in 2012.
According to the report, the rural poverty rate remains high at 79.9 percent in 2022, while urban poverty has increased from 42.2 percent in 2012 to 55.5 percent in 2022,
