PARIS, Aug. 4 (Xinhua) -- The United States set a new world record as they claimed their eighth swimming gold medal of the Paris Games by winning the women's 4x100m medley relay final on Sunday.
The U.S. team of Regan Smith, Lilly King, Gretchen Walsh and Torri Huske clocked three minutes 49.63 seconds, breaking their own previous record of 3:50.40 set in 2019.
