Youth Earn-a-Bike Camp is a bicycle repair course in which youth ages 9 to 12 learn bicycle mechanics, practice problem-solving skills, gain self confidence, leadership skills, environmental awareness, and community appreciation — all while earning a bike!
Over the course of the five days, students overhaul a bicycle, earning credit for their attendance and participation. At the end of the course, they demonstrate safe riding skills and take home their newly refurbished bike with a helmet and a lock.
Camp is offered on a sliding scale of $25 to $200. Scholarships are available.
Prefer other youth opportunities at BICAS? At Youth Drop-In, youth ages 9 to 18 can drop in every 2nd and 4th Saturday between 11 AM and 1 PM to engage in bicycle repair, as well as earn shop credit to purchase parts and bikes.
