ArmInfo. U.S. Congressman Frank Pallone posted the following message on his X account:
"I'm glad Secretary Blinken is working toward peace between Armenia
and Azerbaijan, but these conversations are meaningless unless there
are real consequences for Azerbaijan's ongoing aggression and
repeated human rights abuses. State Department must support Armenia's
sovereignty and defense." On July 10, in Washington, at the
initiative and with the participation of US Secretary of State Antony
Blinken, a meeting was held between Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat
Mirzoyan and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. Following
the negotiations, the parties announced progress in signing a peace
treaty. Yerevan confirmed its readiness to sign the agreement as soon
as possible, and Blinken expressed strong US support for the speedy
conclusion of a peace treaty between Yerevan and Baku.
