ArmInfo. The theft of the car of Artsakh President Samvel Shahramanyan is a signal to the
Azerbaijani authorities that Yerevan is carrying out Baku's orders as it should, opposition Armenian MP Artur Khachatryan stated on June 21 in a conversation with journalists.
According to him, today's incident at the Artsakh representative
office is a signal to the Artsakh people themselves so that they have
no desire to be involved in the political processes taking place in
the country. "This is another gesture of intimidation, but I am sure
that this action failed," the parliamentarian said.
Answering the question about whether today's actions of law
enforcement officers near the Artsakh representative office are a
warning to President Samvel Shahramanyan to refrain from publicly
assessing the actions of RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan,
Khachatryan did not rule out this scenario.
A few days ago Shahramanyan announced his intention to hold a press
conference dedicated to the actions of the Armenian authorities
regarding Artsakh and the statements of the Prime Minister of the
Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.
Khachatryan emphasized that the current authorities of the country
spread so many lies about the 44-day war and subsequent events that
today they began to worry about the possible consequences of
presenting the truth.
The deputy also noted that the authorities are taking all steps to
ensure that the Artsakh representative office cannot carry out its
full-fledged activities, and the residents of Artsakh in Armenia do
not have their own leaders. Without leaders, the situation can lead
to discord among internally displaced persons and their leaving the
country. Let us remind you that earlier today special forces, having
broken into the gates of the Artsakh representative office,
confiscated the official car of President Samvel Shahramanyan.
