Valerie Bertinelli is booked and busy!
The celebrity chef will act as a lifestyle expert on Season 5 of "The Drew Barrymore Show," it was announced Sept. 3. The new season will kick off on Monday, Sept. 9.
In an interview with People, Bertinelli spoke about joining the Emmy-winning program and she said she's "super excited" to be a part of Barrymore's team.
“I absolutely adore her,” Bertinelli said of the "Never Been Kissed" actor. “And all the people that work there are so flippin’ cool.”
Bertinelli joining "The Drew Barrymore Show" comes after she revealed in April 2023 that Food Network canceled her program “Valerie’s Home Cooking” after 14 seasons.
Then, in January 2024, Bertinelli shared on Instagram that she had been let go from Food Network's “Kids Baking Championship," which she had been co-hosting since 2015.
In an Instagram video, Bertinelli said that being let go had “really hurt my feelings.”
“And I know it’s not supposed to. Logically, I know that it’s business, budget cuts, right?” she continued. “But it really hurt my feelings to know that I’m not going to be asked back to be on ‘Kids Baking Championship.’ Really sucks.”
However, Bertinelli has since landed on her feet. She told People that she had a "busy" summer tackling projects on her agenda.
“I’ll be going to New York a lot to hang out with Drew and see where that takes me,” she said.
