Snoop Dogg has been known for many things throughout his decades in the spotlight, whether as a rapper or as a businessman helming different alcohol, coffee, and cereal brands. This summer, the "Gin & Juice" MC has been living it up in Paris as a special correspondent for the 2024 Olympics, and he hasn't been wasting any of his time in the City of Light.
In a new interview for Vogue's In the Bag series, Snoop broke down everything he keeps in his Olympic bag while covering various events. Among those items are perfume, jewelry, a stocking cap, an Xbox controller, and his special-edition 19 Crimes wine. But sometimes, Snoop's favorite things are the ones that hold everything else.
"I love bags—backpacks, handbags, tote bags," the SoCal-bred rapper admitted. Just make sure you refer to them as bags around him. "I'm not gonna call it a 'man purse,' 'cause it ain't," he stated plainly.
Snoop's collection is nothing to sneeze at. "I think I got less than 1,000 [and] more than 500," he chuckled, adding, "I always collect bags." He explained that he went the Olympic training facility and "left with a couple of bags."
Snoop isn't not the only rapper who knows the value of a good bag. Drake, for example, has collected Hermès Birkin bags for years; this includes the famous Himalaya Birkin, which retails for approximately $300,000 and sold for a whopping $450,000 at auction. Cardi B is also a well-known Birkin lover who has given them to friends and loved ones like Megan Thee Stallion and her own daughter Kulture.
With everything from snacks and wine to gaming controllers in his bag, it might be safe to say that Snoop Dogg is the Mary Poppins of hip-hop.
