Irish boxer TJ Doheny beaten by Japanese boxer Naoya Inoue in an undisputed super bantamweight championship title fight at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo.
Doheny was defeated by technical knockout in the seventh round as he suffered a back injury, following a powerful right hand to the body by Ionue.
Doheny started well, as Ionue took his time to get into the bout.
However, as time went on, Ionue was able to read Doheny, as he continued to land to the body and take control of the bout.
While Doheny did better than most against Ionue, the fight was going in one direction before he pulled up with an injury in the first 17 second of the seventh round.
The win moved Ionue to 27-0 as he defended his super bantamweight titles, considered by many to be the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world.
